The reciprocal influences between nutrition and cancer, as they pertain to the development and progression of cancer cells, and to their impact on nutritional status and clinical outcome, are being increasingly appreciated. To discuss the latest advances and new perspectives for the future of Clinical Nutrition and Cancer, the II International Conference of Nutritional Oncology is being organized in Sao Paulo, Brazil, from 16 to 17 June 2010. After the success of the first edition in 2008, world leaders in the field, many of them being active members of ESPEN, will gather to offer the most updated overview of the clinical implications of our better understanding of the impact of nutrition on cancer cells and viceversa.
